Job Description

The Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel is a premier entertainment and hospitality destination located in northern Idaho. Renowned for its vibrant casino games, luxurious accommodations, fine dining, and a variety of entertainment options, this establishment offers guests a unique and immersive experience. The resort combines modern amenities with a touch of the rich cultural heritage of the Coeur d'Alene Tribe, making it a sought-after location for both leisure and business travelers. Committed to exceptional customer service and a welcoming environment, the casino resort is dedicated to providing an outstanding experience for every patron.

The Event Bar Bartender position at the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel plays a critical role in delivering exceptional drink service to bar patrons in a professional, legal, and courteous manner. This is a tipped position, meaning all tips earned will be included in the paycheck, providing an opportunity for a competitive income beyond the base wage. The role requires adherence to state liquor laws, including checking identification for all guests who appear under the age of 30 attempting to purchase alcohol. Bartenders in this capacity are expected to mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages following standardized recipes and procedures, as well as serve food menu items within the event center.

Bartenders must maintain a clean and safe work area by following proper food safety and sanitation guidelines, monitor customers for signs of intoxication and responsibly discontinue service when necessary, and collaborate closely with the house detective and security personnel on any incidents that occur during their shift. Working effectively with servers to ensure timely and accurate guest service is essential. Additionally, the bartender is responsible for securing alcohol during non-operational hours in adherence to all relevant local, county, and state liquor laws.

Handling customer complaints with professionalism and courtesy, suggesting higher-cost products to increase average ticket sales, and maintaining an organized and clean bar environment are integral parts of the role. Bartenders may also be assigned other projects and duties as needed, requiring flexibility and teamwork. This position demands excellent communication skills, conflict management abilities, and adept multitasking in a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced setting. Given the physical demands described, candidates should be prepared for a role that requires strength, stamina, and resilience.

Overall, working as an Event Bar Bartender at the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally within a culturally significant and thriving hospitality venue. This role is ideal for individuals with bartending experience who enjoy engaging with diverse guests and contributing to memorable experiences in a vibrant and congenial environment.
