Print Works Bistro is currently seeking a full-time Event / Banquet Manager to join their dynamic team of professionals. The role of the Event Manager is pivotal in ensuring that all events and banquets hosted at the bistro meet the highest standards of service, organization, and client satisfaction. This position requires a friendly and energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing outstanding guest experiences from start to finish. The Event Manager will lead a dedicated team responsible for setting up event spaces, serving catered food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and safe environment that aligns with the company’s standards.
Key responsibilities for the Event Manager include advocating for guests, leading event staff with enthusiasm, and possessing a thorough knowledge of the bistro’s menus and specialty drink offerings. The role also involves recruitment, hiring, and training of banquet staff to ensure a well-staffed and effective events team. Leadership with diplomacy and tact is critical as the manager takes ownership of team dynamics and guest interactions. Additionally, the Event Manager will proactively anticipate and manage revenue and cost issues, oversee payroll tracking, inventory management, and complete daily operational checklists. Implementing sustainable initiatives and contributing to the company’s mission of genuine service and environmental stewardship are also integral to this leadership role.

Job Requirements
- Education in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Proven experience managing banquet or event services

Job Duties
- Communicate clearly and perform consistently following the mission and values of the organization in our enthusiastic work environment
- Be an advocate for our guests with all interactions, ensuring that each guest leaves feeling that their experience was beyond incredible
- Lead a team with enthusiasm that is responsible for delivering service to all event guests including setting up the event spaces, serving catered food and beverage and having an extensive knowledge on the impressive selection of seasonal restaurant food
- Have a working knowledge of Print Works Bistro and Green Valley Grill catering menus, including pricing, Chef features, extensive wine offerings and other specialty drinks
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety, ensuring that our maintenance, security and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Act as a leader with diplomacy and tact with all interactions, ensuring that you take ownership of your intentions and other’s perceptions
- Responsible for the recruiting, hiring and training of all event (banquet) staff members, ensuring that the events team is fully staffed with the right people
- Help write and/or ensure all schedules are completed with the correct amount of staff members based on the appropriate availability
- Implement and train sustainable practices initiatives
- Anticipate revenue/cost issues and manage the timing of discretionary expenditures to stabilize cash flow
- Identify major revenue and expense opportunities and possible issues
- Ensure daily controls are happening including completing checklists, payroll tracking and inventory management
