The workforce at St. Louis Park reflects a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, underscoring the city’s commitment to diversity and equal opportunity. These spaces are designed to accommodate a wide array of activities ranging from casual gatherings to large-scale community functions.

This part-time position within the Parks and Recreation Department is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about community service and event coordination. The role involves coordinating logistics and assisting with various events and facility rentals at multiple park facilities throughout St. Louis Park. Candidates will be responsible for delivering exemplary customer service by proactively identifying client needs, responding promptly to inquiries, and maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. The role requires hands-on involvement from facility setup and teardown to resolving customer concerns during events, ensuring a smooth and successful experience for all participants. Working hours will be based on scheduling needs, offering flexibility for those seeking part-time employment. The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $21.00, reflecting the skills and dedication required for effective event facilitation. This position is primarily based out of the Westwood Hills Nature Center and the Recreation Center, with responsibilities that extend to other department facilities and park areas as needed. The successful candidate will work closely with recreation staff, event volunteers, and the public to support the department's mission of delivering high-quality recreational services. While this role does not offer traditional benefits, it provides valuable experience in facility and event management, making it ideal for individuals looking to develop or enhance their career in event planning, hospitality, or community recreation.
