The Event Coordinator role at the Michaels store in Westminster, CO, is designed to provide a dynamic, engaging, and customer-focused experience. The role involves participation in merchandise management such as unloading trucks, stocking shelves, maintaining planograms, and completing store recovery and maintenance duties.
Safety and cleanliness are paramount in this position, with responsibilities to uphold company standards before, during, and after events. The role requires physical stamina, including standing for long periods, moving throughout the store, bending, lifting, and the occasional use of ladders. The work environment includes public retail areas that are climate controlled, stock rooms, and the frame shop, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
- Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
- Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and perform face painting
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons according to company standards
- Communicate events with clients and store team members

- Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and create backup or emergency plans
- Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
