The role of Event and Meeting Manager at LLC is crucial to the organization’s ability to deliver its signature programs and events successfully. This full-time, exempt position reports directly to the Vice President and involves hands-on management of all major events that LLC hosts throughout the year. Responsible for the seamless planning, coordination, and on-site execution of these events, the Event and Meeting Manager ensures that every detail aligns with LLC’s mission and branding. The position involves overseeing vendor contracts, audio-visual management, venue design, event communications, and the post-event evaluation process. Collaborating closely with the program and content teams, this role demands excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Beyond logistics, the Event and Meeting Manager also supervises a full-time, hourly Meeting Coordinator, providing guidance and fostering professional growth within the team. Salary for this position ranges between $50,000 and $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and includes benefits such as health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, flexible scheduling, and a flexible spending account. While primarily an in-person role requiring at least 75 percent on-site presence, LLC offers some remote work flexibility after six months of employment.
The Event and Meeting Manager will lead signature events including the 100 Wise Women quarterly breakfast attracting around 350 attendees, the annual Leadership Louisville Luncheon with roughly 1,300 attendees, the LeadingBetter Summit annual conference hosting 500-600 participants, the Best Class Ever alumni reunion and the Holiday Party networking event for alumni. Additional responsibilities include supporting program-focused meetings and special events, vendor and budget management, stakeholder relationship building, and staying abreast of industry trends in event management. Candidates passionate about community engagement and skilled in managing complex events will find this role rewarding and impactful, providing the opportunity to influence the civic landscape of Louisville in meaningful ways.
