The role of Event and Game Day Operations Coordinator at Austin Peay State University is a temporary position, offering 30 hours per week at a pay rate of 19.60 per hour. This role is integral to the success of the University’s athletics events, specifically tasked with managing and coordinating all aspects of game-day operations for select sports. The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining event management standards to ensure a smooth and professional experience for teams, officials, and fans. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, and institutional rules and policies to maintain compliance at all times.
In this capacity, the Event and Game Day Operations Coordinator will create essential game day and event documents, including timing sheets, visiting team guides, and security notes, which are crucial for efficient event management. The coordinator will also organize and lead pre-event operation meetings, collaborate closely with teams, officials, and visiting teams to fulfill all game-day requirements, and supervise event staff during varsity sporting events to uphold proper management protocols. Additionally, this position involves coordinating scheduling tasks for table crews and game officials and working alongside the Athletic Business Office to ensure timely and accurate payment of game day personnel.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in event coordination or sports operations preferred
- Knowledge of NCAA and Conference regulations
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced settings
- Must be available to travel if required
- Light physical ability to exert up to 20 pounds occasionally

- Organize and run event operations meetings

- Lead in set-up and striking of required game day equipment
- Supervise event staff working varsity sports to ensure proper management
- Maintain NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, and Austin Peay State University compliance
- Assist in scheduling table crew and game officials
- Work with Athletic Business Office to ensure payment of game day staff
- Attend game management meetings for football games, United Athletic Conference Championship, and FCS Playoff Games
- Assist game manager in assigned areas
- Perform all other duties as assigned
