Black Family Hospitality stands out by blending traditional Southern hospitality with modern service standards, creating memorable experiences for guests at every touchpoint. Their brands serve diverse markets and audiences ranging from casual diners to corporate clients seeking premium catering and event services. The company values a close-knit team culture that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction, making it an exciting place for hospitality professionals to grow their careers in a supportive environment.
The Event & Catering Sales Coordinator position at Black Family Hospitality is a pivotal role designed to support and expand the catering and event operations across multiple hospitality brands the company represents. This role is ideal for an individual who excels in organization, communication, and hospitality-focused sales within a fast-paced environment. The coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for catering and event clients, guiding them seamlessly from initial inquiry through to final execution, ensuring a smooth and engaging customer journey. The role involves building strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, venues, hotels, and repeat guests, providing personalized service to meet diverse client needs.
A key responsibility is managing all event logistics, including preparing proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), and coordinating staffing, rentals, and delivery timelines. This position also supports catering sales initiatives by identifying upselling opportunities such as staffing, rentals, bar packages, and specialty menu enhancements, thereby contributing directly to revenue growth across the company’s concepts and markets.
Additionally, the role involves administrative and operational functions, maintaining accurate client records, processing payments, updating menus, and supporting reporting and sales tracking. The coordinator also ensures that all communications align with Black Family Hospitality's brand standards and culture, reflecting the company's dedication to hospitality excellence. This role suits candidates who are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and guest engagement.
