Job Description
The Miller Time Pub Server position at the Lincoln Cornhusker Marriott hotel offers a part-time opportunity to join a team that prides itself on delivering excellence in hospitality. As a server, you will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for guests by greeting them promptly and courteously, educating them about the Beer Program, daily specials, and menu pairings, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
- ability to memorize menu and drink selections
- excellent communication skills in English
- physically able to transport trays and stand for extended periods
- adherence to all liquor laws and corporate policies
- reliable and punctual
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- ability to speak, read, and write English to communicate with guests and promote specials
- strong memory and ability to recite menu items
- capable of transporting trays through a crowded room
- knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations
- positive attitude and teamwork skills
- ability to remain motivated during busy and slow periods
- experience in cash handling and self-banking
- proficiency in operating a keyboard and Point of Sale system
Job Duties
- Greets guests in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner and explains the Beer Program, all specials, promotions, and Miller Time Pub and Grill features
- learns all menu items and understands beer pairings
- takes orders reciting all call and premium brand selections from memory
- inputs orders into Point of Sale system for bartender and head of house
- maintains cleanliness of guest tables and assists bar area
- replenishes beverages as requested and frequently checks guest satisfaction
- presents the guest with the check promptly thanking them and inviting them to return
- performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
