The part-time Evening Janitorial / Laundry Attendant position offers between 15 to 25 hours per week, with shifts scheduled Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This role is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and safety of the hotel’s public and guest areas, while also overseeing laundry operations using industrial equipment including an onsite ironing press machine. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to operate this machinery.
In this role, the Evening Janitorial / Laundry Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the hotel environment is welcoming and immaculate through a range of janitorial duties including cleaning public spaces such as bathrooms, hallways, and the lobby. They will handle trash removal, restocking of amenities, and the maintenance of floors to uphold high standards. In the laundry sector, duties include operating washers, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently. The attendant will sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and textiles, inspect items for damage, and maintain a clean and orderly laundry area in line with safety protocols.
Beyond cleaning and laundry, the position involves assisting guests when needed, supporting front desk requests, and effective communication with team members using the GuestEQ app on provided smartphones. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working both independently and within a team environment. Physical stamina is required to meet the demands of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older to operate ironing press machine
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and potentially up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Prolonged standing, bending, reaching, and twisting to complete cleaning and laundry tasks
- Ability to use cleaning products, laundry chemicals, and equipment in a safe manner
- Strong attention to detail

Job Duties
- Clean and maintain public areas such as bathrooms, hallways, lobby, etc. to the highest standards of cleanliness and condition to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests
- Clean and wipe windows, sills, doors, walls and fixtures in rooms, hallways and corridors
- Remove trash from public areas, meeting rooms and offices
- Replace paper toweling, soap and other amenities in pool area and public bathrooms
- Wash/mop tiled and vinyl flooring
- Operate and maintain laundry room
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and other textiles
- Operate machines such as washers, dryers, and ironing press, ensuring safety and efficiency
- Inspect and treat linens for stains, tears, and wear, reporting damaged items as necessary
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols
- Assist with any guest needs that may arise during this time, assist the Front Desk with guest requests when necessary
- Use the GuestEQ app through a provided smartphone device to log, track, request, inform, communicate, etc. with other team members.
