Job Description

The hiring establishment is a specialized commercial cleaning company dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of industrial and commercial buildings. Known for its commitment to excellence in janitorial services, the company prioritizes a clean and safe environment for all its clients by employing a well-trained and motivated workforce. With a reputation built on quality, reliability, and attention to detail, the organization serves various sectors including offices, manufacturing facilities, retail spaces, and more. The company's operational model revolves around employing professional cleaning supervisors who oversee cleaning crews ensuring that all assignments are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

This role is for a Cleaning Supervisor who will play a critical part in managing the day-to-day activities of the cleaning staff. The supervisor will be responsible for coordinating schedules, training, and evaluating personnel to uphold quality control throughout all cleaning projects. Beyond managing people, the role involves inspecting work performed to ensure it meets client standards, coordinating with other departments for smooth operations, and handling any service-related complaints professionally and promptly. The position demands a hands-on leader capable of instructing staff on cleaning methods, equipment use, and safety procedures. Additionally, the supervisor must be well-versed in selecting appropriate cleaning materials for diverse surfaces including linens, furniture, and flooring to ensure both cleanliness and preservation of client property.

The work environment is often physically demanding, requiring the supervisor to navigate wet or humid conditions, work around moving machinery, and endure exposure to various chemicals and extreme weather conditions. Safety and compliance are key parts of the role, necessitating a vigilant and proactive approach. This position often involves lifting and moving heavy objects up to 50 pounds, and requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, and balancing. Given these factors, the role suits an individual with robust physical stamina, excellent organizational abilities, and strong communication skills to effectively manage and motivate their team.

In summary, the Cleaning Supervisor position offers a dynamic work environment with significant responsibility over staff and client satisfaction. It requires a blend of practical experience, leadership capability, and technical knowledge of cleaning practices and materials. Candidates interested in this role should be prepared to lead by example, resolve issues promptly, and ensure their team consistently delivers quality service in line with company standards.
