Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- three to six months related experience and/or training
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- capability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 40 pounds
- ability to follow safety and cleaning procedures properly
- willingness to perform varied custodial tasks efficiently
- reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED (high school equivalency certificate)
- three to six months related experience and/or training
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong work ethic and positive attitude
- ability to perform custodial duties satisfactorily
Job Duties
- sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors and woodwork using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines
- dust and polish light fixtures sometimes using ladders
- move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas
- remove stains from surfaces such as rugs, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- transport trash and waste to disposal area
- wash windows, door panels and sills
- clean education area including emptying trash, sweep and mop floors as needed
- clean and sanitize water fountains
- scrub toilets, urinals and sinks
- replenish bathroom supplies
- back up maintenance staff as needed
- complete posted, written and verbal tasks list
