We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Event Host to be the charismatic face of our singles mixers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in social settings, possesses excellent organizational skills, and enjoys interacting with people from all walks of life. As an Event Host, you will be responsible for setting the tone and energy of our evening events, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and attendees feel welcomed and engaged. You will have the opportunity to work part-time, hosting events 1 to 2 times per month on weekdays, typically from 6:15 PM to 9:30 PM. With a competitive pay rate of $30 to $40 per hour, including a $30 bonus for events exceeding 60 attendees, this role offers both flexibility and reward.
Your responsibilities will encompass greeting guests with professionalism and warmth, coordinating event activities to ensure seamless execution, and engaging attendees with lively interaction to enhance their experience. You will manage all event logistics including setup and breakdown, liaising with vendors and venue staff to maintain high-quality standards. Handling guest inquiries and concerns with outstanding customer service and hospitality skills will be pivotal to your success in this role.
This position is well-suited for individuals with prior experience in event hosting, banquet service, or other hospitality roles such as restaurant or hotel service. Strong communication skills and the ability to connect confidently with diverse audiences are essential. Job Requirements
- Education at high school level or equivalent
- Proven experience in event hosting or hospitality roles
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to engage confidently with diverse audiences
- Availability to work weekday evenings 6:15 PM to 9:30 PM 1-2 times per month
- Willingness to travel to various event locations throughout the DMV area
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in event hosting, banquet service, or hospitality roles such as restaurant or hotel service
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with diverse audiences
