The Cook I position at our facility is integral to fulfilling our mission by delivering nutritious, appealing, and high-quality meals that meet the diverse dietary preferences and medical requirements of our residents. This full-time evening role allows our kitchen staff to work within a supportive and well-equipped environment, contributing directly to the health and satisfaction of residents through well-planned meal preparation and execution. The Cook I will be responsible for following dietary guidelines, coordinating food preparation schedules, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. By adhering to recipes, portion sizes, and nutritional directives, the Cook I ensures that meals not only nourish but also delight our residents, playing a key role in their overall care experience.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a skilled nursing care or medical facility preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and dietary guidelines
  • Ability to measure ingredients and follow recipes accurately
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 20lbs
