Job Requirements
- Experience using Xactimate software
- Basic construction background
- Knowledge of restoration industry practices
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, crawl, and crouch for extended periods
- Must be able to use respirators that seal to the face
- Good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Experience with Xactimate software
- Basic construction knowledge including building materials and flooring
- Understanding of insurance restoration industry standards
- Ability to inspect and scope restoration jobs onsite
- Strong documentation and photo uploading skills
- Effective communication skills with project teams and insurance personnel
- Capability to prepare accurate estimates and cost assessments
- Knowledge of IICRC standards and carrier audit requirements
Job Duties
- Inspect and scope jobs onsite and work with project manager, crew chief, lead tech on scope of job
- Document loss with clear and descriptive job photos and upload into operating system software
- Write mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating software
- Communicate conversations and key information on the job using the notes feature in required software
- Estimate using carrier audit standards and manage the estimate based on feedback from client and customer
- Communicate with project manager lead tech to ensure all required documentation is complete photos, notes and documents signed
- Record of drying using mobile software
- Determine labor and equipment costs
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
- Communicate with insurance companies and adjusters via phone and email in a timely manner and act as a liaison
- Manage all estimate documents and assess project risks
- Review quotes and estimates with the construction project team
- Address estimate exceptions in a timely manner
