Job Requirements
- Experience with Xactimate software
- Basic construction background
- Knowledge of commercial and insurance restoration industry
- Ability to communicate effectively with project teams and insurance adjusters
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical activities required on job sites
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments
- Must be able to wear respirator that seals to face
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Experience with Xactimate software
- Knowledge of commercial and insurance restoration industry
- Basic construction background including understanding of building materials and materials affected by property damage
- Ability to inspect and scope restoration jobs
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage and assess estimate documents and project risks
- Familiarity with carrier audit standards and insurance claim processes
Job Duties
- Inspect and scope jobs onsite and work with project manager crew chief lead tech on scope of job
- Document loss with clear and descriptive job photos and upload into operating system software
- Write mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating software
- Communicate conversations and key information on the job using the notes feature in required software
- Estimate using carrier audit standards and manage the estimate based on feedback from client and customer
- Communicate with project manager lead tech to ensure all required documentation is complete photos notes and documents signed
- Record of drying using mobile software
- Determine labor and equipment costs
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
- Communicate with insurance companies and adjusters via phone and email in a timely manner and act as a liaison
- Manage all estimate documents and assess project risks
- Review quotes and estimates with the construction project team
- Address estimate exceptions in a timely manner
