Good Karma Brands (GKB) is a dynamic and innovative media company known for its strong partnership with ESPN and its commitment to delivering top-tier sports media content across multiple platforms. With a rich portfolio that includes the ESPN Radio Network, ESPN Podcasts, ESPN Digital Products, and ESPN Events, GKB operates local ESPN-affiliated radio stations in eight major markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The company boasts a team of over 550 dedicated professionals and has earned recognition as a "Best Place to Work" by organizations such as Front Office Sports, reflecting a vibrant workplace culture characterized by integrity, respect, diversity, and inclusion. GKB strives to foster a workplace environment where employees from diverse backgrounds work together with mutual respect and shared commitment to excellence. The company’s home office is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and it maintains offices across the country to support its extensive media operations.
Within this leading media environment, ESPN Madison plays a crucial role as a community-focused sports radio station. Frequently celebrated as the nation’s best college sports town, Madison was the second market where Good Karma Brands launched its successful sports media model. ESPN Madison is widely recognized as the ultimate destination for both local and national sports talk. It has cultivated a loyal fan base through signature events such as ESPN Wisconsin College GameDay. These events are designed to bring together passionate sports fans and marketing partners for memorable experiences, reinforcing the station's strong ties to the community.
The role of the part-time Marketing Events Supervisor at ESPN Madison is vital to the success of these initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to supervise and engage promotional street teams and manage remote broadcasts at various local community events. The Marketing Events Supervisor will lead teams that serve as the face of the station, interacting directly with fans and local partners. This role requires both leadership and hands-on involvement, overseeing event setup and breakdown, ensuring effective team coordination, and embodying the core values of Good Karma Brands. As a part-time position, it requires flexibility, including evening and weekend work, allowing individuals passionate about sports and community engagement to contribute meaningfully while balancing other commitments.
The Marketing Events Supervisor is expected to be a proactive ambassador for Good Karma Brands, exemplifying qualities such as honesty, teamwork, dedication, and a commitment to exceeding expectations. Supervisory duties include mentoring interns, managing event logistics, and fostering positive relationships with fans and sponsors. The role also offers opportunities for professional growth within Good Karma Brands, encouraging individuals to continually develop skills and advance within the company. Compensation is hourly with potential for increases based on demonstrated skills and responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills who thrives in a sports-centered, fast-paced event environment and is excited about the chance to contribute to one of the nation’s top sports markets.
