The role of Escrow Assistant at First American is a pivotal position within the Direct division, based at the Tampa, Florida office located at 1501 S Church Ave, Ste 103. This in-office position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where attention to detail and customer service excellence are paramount. Escrow Assistants support the Escrow team by handling various administrative, operational, and customer-facing tasks essential to completing residential real estate transactions. Responsibilities include assisting with the escrow process by opening orders, reading title commitments, and performing necessary actions to clear title issues. Communication is key in this role, requiring regular interaction with customers and internal teams to ensure a seamless escrow transaction experience.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years escrow-related experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies

Job Duties

  • Assist in the escrow process, such as opening orders, reading title commitments, and taking necessary steps to clear title
  • Communicate regularly with customers during the escrow process flow
  • Interpret various agreements as they relate to escrow closings
  • Work with a variety of technologies to enable escrow transactions
  • Assist customers to ensure a phenomenal customer experience
