The position of Assistant General Manager at CAVU's Escape Lounge located in Reno (RNO) Airport, NV, is a full-time role with a salary range of $56,966 to $65,000 based on experience. This role demands open availability, primarily scheduled during mid-day and afternoon hours, with an emphasis on flexibility to meet variable business needs. As an integral leader within the airport lounge, the Assistant General Manager will oversee both front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences and impeccable operational standards are met. You will be responsible for fostering a service-oriented culture that not only elevates guest satisfaction but also drives revenue and loyalty by maintaining superior food and beverage quality and handling guest feedback efficiently.

This fast-paced, high-volume setting requires expert leadership in developing and managing high-performing teams, optimizing financial performance through effective profit and loss management, inventory controls, and cost reduction strategies. Additionally, vendor coordination and timely communication of business results play critical roles in this function. Ensuring that all operations adhere to company policies, health and safety protocols, licensing requirements, and airport regulations is paramount. Job Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in hospitality leadership or related field
  • Strong leadership and team coaching skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • Experience in financial management and cost control
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Comfortable standing and moving throughout the operation for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a hospitality, restaurant, retail, or catering leadership role (assistant manager, shift manager, or similar)
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Strong business acumen including inventory management, cost control, and financial performance
  • Knowledge of food safety, allergen management, responsible alcohol service, and operational compliance
  • Experience managing high-volume food and beverage operations
  • Skilled in recruiting, performance management, employee relations, and talent development
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required airport security clearances

Job Duties
