The role of the Porter at Towne Park is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the garage facilities while providing outstanding hospitality services to all guests during their visits. This position involves general cleaning duties that keep common areas tidy and welcoming, such as sweeping, trash removal, power washing, and wiping down signage and equipment. The Porter plays an integral role in ensuring a pleasant and safe environment by performing tasks like assisting with lock-outs, flat tires, battery jumps, and lost vehicle assistance. The position requires a proactive and guest-focused approach, with responsibilities including regular cleanliness checks, maintaining waste receptacles, and supporting guests with directions and inquiries. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • One to three months related experience and/or training without a diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of basic general cleaning
  • Ability to read and write Standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training without a diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic general cleaning
  • Ability to read and write Standard English
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence
  • Effective communication in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed

Job Duties

  • Conduct cleanliness checks of all guest entrances and elevator landings, including emptying ash urns and trash receptacles
  • Use mop or power washer to remove stains and wipe signage and pay stations
  • Maintain general garage cleanliness using mobile garbage cans, brooms, dustpans, and stain removal on pillars and columns
  • Clean signage and wayfinding materials at vehicle entrances and exits, including gates and card reading equipment
  • Empty guest key receptacles and assist with power washing garage entrances and exits
  • Assist guests with directions and inquiries and provide information about nearby attractions
  • Protect guest confidentiality and maintain security of customer financial and identifying information
