Job Description
Encore is a global leader in event production, providing state-of-the-art audio-visual services and equipment rentals for a wide range of events including conferences, conventions, and live performances. As a company rooted in hospitality and service excellence, Encore operates in dynamic environments such as hotels and convention centers, aiming to deliver an outstanding experience to its clients through innovation, teamwork, and commitment to quality. With a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, Encore supports venues and production teams by supplying high-end audio-visual equipment, technical expertise, and logistics solutions tailored to the unique demands of each event.
The Equipment Optimization Manager at Encore plays a critical role in managing and enhancing the company's equipment assets across venues and regions. Reporting to the Senior Regional Equipment Manager, this position is responsible for reducing subrental expenses, boosting equipment utilization rates, improving internal customer service, and implementing cost-saving strategies developed collaboratively with regional and venue teams. The manager oversees the transportation process between the regional warehouse and venues, ensuring seamless equipment availability and readiness for events. This role also involves managing on-site inventory operations, guaranteeing accuracy in stock levels, and maintaining the quality and operational readiness of equipment to meet client specifications.
In addition to operational responsibilities, the Equipment Optimization Manager supports large event logistics and capital planning, working alongside regional asset management teams to prioritize equipment needs and optimize investment decisions. The role requires strong leadership and people management skills to drive team efficiency and productivity while cultivating Encore's core values. The manager will monitor key performance indicators, provide continuous feedback, and collaborate with HR partners to support strategic human resources initiatives including training and development.
Effective communication and customer service are paramount in this role, as the manager facilitates handoffs between sales and operations teams, ensures clarity in expectations, and assists with training venue teams to deepen their technical knowledge of company-owned assets. The position demands advanced analytical abilities, proficiency in Excel, and excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and deliver accurate results. Operating in hotel and convention center environments involves exposure to varied working conditions including noise, weather elements, and use of high-end audio-visual and electrical equipment. Working hours may be irregular, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and employees must adhere to professional appearance guidelines.
The Equipment Optimization Manager role offers a competitive hourly pay range of $73,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience, location, and specific skills. Encore emphasizes a supportive work culture valuing inclusivity, diversity, and continuous improvement, with comprehensive benefits designed to support employees and their families worldwide. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about operational excellence, equipment management, and team leadership within the dynamic event production industry.
