The Maintenance Technician position at Jabil in Atlanta, GA is a critical role focused on ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment, specifically injection molding machinery. The company offers opportunities for multiple shifts with a competitive pay rate starting at $30 per hour depending on experience, along with quarterly performance bonuses. A sign-on bonus of up to $1,500 is available for qualified candidates, along with a robust benefits package. In this position, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance as well as urgent repairs on various production systems. Key tasks will include troubleshooting, aligning, calibrating, inspecting, and testing equipment to ensure optimal functionality. The role requires familiarity with electrical-mechanical devices, circuitry, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. You will also support installation or relocation of manufacturing equipment and instruct production team members on proper equipment operation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance
  • Proven experience repairing plastic injection molding equipment
  • Strong skills in repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Capability to read and interpret mechanical equipment and electrical and hydraulic drawings
  • Proficient mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair abilities
  • Proficient reading and writing skills in English
  • Ability to interpret technical documents such as manuals, blueprints, and safety rules
  • Competence in using hand tools relevant to equipment repair

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance
  • Experience repairing plastic injection molding equipment
  • Solid experience in repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and electrical and hydraulic drawings
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair skills
  • Ability to read and write English and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Knowledge and ability to use relevant hand tools in equipment repair

Job Duties

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and emergency mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance on production systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, inspect, and test a variety of production systems and equipment
  • Perform hydraulic, pneumatic, high voltage electrical, and mechanical repairs on injection molding equipment
  • Set up assembly line equipment within established parameters
  • Assist in installing new equipment and moving equipment to new locations
  • Disassemble machines and parts, adjust repairs or replace defective parts and materials
  • Use a variety of basic hand and power tools and equipment including hand drill, bench grinder, and band saw
  • Instruct the production team on proper use of equipment
  • Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs
  • Clean and lubricate parts and equipment as scheduled
  • Learn all aspects of machine maintenance and become cross-trained in all molding and assembly equipment
  • Requisition parts needed for completion of preventive maintenance responsibilities
  • Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned based on company and department needs
