Job Description
STG Inc is a dynamic company operating in the construction and logistics sector, providing critical support services that ensure the seamless operation of field projects across Alaska's challenging environments. With a strong commitment to operational excellence and safety, STG Inc plays a vital role in supporting the maintenance and equipment management needs of various construction and infrastructure projects. Their established presence in Alaska, particularly within Anchorage and surrounding regions such as Nome and Bethel, highlights their localized expertise and the ability to navigate the unique logistical challenges associated with remote and rugged terrains.
The Equipment Coordinator position at STG Inc is a pivotal role designed to optimize mechanic efficiency and equipment uptime by managing the flow of parts, materials, flights, and specialized tools required for field repairs. This role acts as the key liaison between office operations and field activities, ensuring coordinated efforts that support rapid deployment and minimize downtime. The Equipment Coordinator handles a variety of responsibilities, ranging from administrative tasks like procurement and tracking of parts to hands-on yard duties including material handling and equipment diagnostics.
This full-time role offers a unique blend of clerical and practical work, requiring an individual with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, technical knowledge of construction materials and equipment, and proficiency with relevant software tools such as HCSS E360 and SmartSheet. Candidates will be involved in managing shipping and receiving processes, maintaining an orderly Anchorage yard, operating company vehicles and loaders, and providing direct support to mechanics in the field. This role also requires troubleshooting logistical issues, coordinating vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with transportation and safety protocols.
STG Inc places a high priority on safety, professionalism, and teamwork in its work environment. Employees are expected to work in a state of alertness and maintain ethical standards while contributing positively to team goals. The role demands flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, which may include occasional evening or weekend work. Travel to remote field locations up to 10% of the time is also a requirement, providing a challenging yet rewarding work experience in Alaska's unique construction landscape.
This position does not entail supervisory duties but offers opportunities for significant impact by ensuring equipment availability and supporting project scheduling and maintenance planning. STG Inc values diversity and inclusion and encourages applications from qualified individuals regardless of background, highlighting a commitment to equal opportunity employment. The Equipment Coordinator role is ideal for candidates who possess a high degree of motivation, technical aptitude, and the ability to thrive independently while contributing effectively as part of a cohesive team.
