The Angiography Technologist role at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center involves specialized responsibilities in medical imaging within a state-of-the-art catheterization laboratory. The position is pivotal for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions using advanced imaging technologies such as fluoroscopy during electrophysiology (EP) procedures including ablations and device implants. Job Requirements

  • Graduate of certified Radiologic Technology school or program
  • One-year previous experience in angiography/cardiac catheterization preferred
  • Current applicable state LRT licensure
  • Current ARRT-R registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for Levels II, III, IV, and within six months for Level I
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cath lab x-ray equipment and product inventory
  • Ability to work evening, night, or weekend shifts
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of certified Radiologic Technology program
  • One to three years experience in angiography or cardiac catheterization depending on level
  • Current applicable state licensure for Radiological Technologist
  • Current national registration in Radiography (ARRT-R)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification for Levels II, III, and IV
  • Preferred advanced certifications such as RCIS, CI, VI for higher levels
  • Proficiency in operating cath lab x-ray equipment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment

Job Duties

  • Perform imaging procedures according to physician’s orders
  • Utilize knowledge and judgment regarding exposure factors, imaging technique, and patient treatment
  • Assist in x-ray and procedural scrub roles during EP cases
  • Operate fluoroscopy and acquisition equipment during ablations and device implants
  • Demonstrate proficiency with various procedural consoles in the EP Service Line
  • Maintain expert knowledge of cath lab equipment and product inventory
  • Provide professional and compassionate care for patients
