Clean Harbors, the parent company, has built a strong reputation over 40 years for sustainability and innovation in hazardous materials treatment, recycling, and disposal. With presence throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, they are recognized as a premier provider of environmental, energy, and industrial services that meet the highest standards of safety and environmental protection.

HPC-Industrial is currently looking for a Driver/Equipment Operator III to work at a customer location in Westlake, Louisiana. This is a full-time role within a safety-conscious team committed to delivering excellent service and operations. They will be responsible for supervising and completing single-task projects involving one crew and assisting with turnaround activities under management oversight at client sites. This job offers an excellent chance for transitioning military personnel to apply their skills and training in a civilian setting.

The Driver/Equipment Operator III is expected to act as a safety representative, overseeing compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines for both the company and its customers. The operator will energize and control pumping, hydroblasting, vacuum trucks, and cutting equipment to perform the cleaning aspects of industrial jobs. This role may also involve examining cleaned surfaces to ensure quality standards, performing routine equipment maintenance, and handling job-related responsibilities associated with liquid vacuums, air machines, and jet rodders.

In addition, this role may include directing a crew of vacuum technicians, transporting equipment and personnel to job sites, and completing necessary vehicle inspections and documentation in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Other duties include loading and unloading hoses and vacuum trucks, providing general field maintenance, and executing any other assigned responsibilities.

HPC-Industrial highly values safety, which is reflected in their commitment to provide comprehensive safety training and equipment for all employees. Candidates should expect to wear protective clothing and equipment such as Nomex coveralls, back belts, slicker suits, rubber boots, breathing masks, escape packs, and hard hats. The role requires working in extreme environmental conditions, including high heat and humidity, subzero temperatures, and exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.

This role offers competitive wages, comprehensive health benefits after 30 days, 401K with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, company-paid training, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for career growth. HPC-Industrial fosters a positive and safe work environment where employees have access to training, safety resources, and career development at every stage.
