The Willis Knighton Rehabilitation Institute is currently seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician to join their dedicated team at the WK Medical Center - 1 location. This is a day shift position, scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, which may occasionally require weekend and evening work based on the facility's needs. This role is critical in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the rehabilitation institute, directly contributing to patient safety and comfort. The Environmental Services Technician will be responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, and common areas throughout the facility.
In this role, the technician will utilize various cleaning tools and equipment, including 16 oz wet mops, wringers, dusters, vacuum cleaners, commercial washers and dryers, and cleaning chemicals. It involves physical tasks that require the ability to exert varying amounts of force on a regular basis. The successful candidate will undergo hospital and departmental orientation upon hire to familiarize themselves with the facility's procedures and standards. Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in environmental services or janitorial work is a plus
- ability to follow instructions and work independently
- basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- strong attention to detail
