The role of Environmental Services Technician at PIH Health is pivotal in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the healthcare facilities. This position involves performing a wide range of cleaning tasks under general direction to achieve the highest cleaning standards. The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for essential duties such as floor care including dust mopping, sweeping outside areas, scrubbing, stripping, buffing, and shampooing, as well as spill removal. Responsibilities also extend to damp washing of counters, telephones, desks, and ledges along with washing light fixtures, ceilings, and walls, which often requires the use of ladders or step stools. Additionally, the technician manages trash and soiled linen removal, cleans isolation rooms according to prescribed protocols, changes cubical curtains and drapes, and performs cleaning and maintenance of all environmental tools and equipment. This role demands consistency in cleaning patient areas, upon their occupation or dismissal, ensuring a sanitary environment that supports patient health and safety.

Job Qualifications
- must be able to use all types of environmental equipment necessary to perform job assignments
- must be able to read write and speak english
- preferred at least one year of previous environmental services experience in a health care facility
- preferred high school diploma
Job Duties
- perform floor care including dust mopping sweeping outside areas scrubbing stripping and buffing shampooing and spill removal
