At Baptist Health, what truly sets the organization apart is its people. The workplace culture is built on personal connections that exceed traditional professional relationships, cultivating meaningful bonds between colleagues and with patients and their families. Many team members share personal experiences with the patients they serve, reinforcing a collective commitment to compassion, respect, and quality healthcare. This deeply rooted culture of purpose motivates every employee to contribute positively, creating an environment where care extends beyond the hospital walls — because at Baptist Health, caring for people is at the heart of everything they do.

The role of Environmental Services Specialist at Baptist Health plays a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for patients, staff, physicians, and visitors across all facilities. This position is responsible for thorough cleaning of various areas, including public spaces, patient rooms, surgical suites, ancillary and administrative offices, and physician areas. The role involves handling potentially hazardous materials and exposure to a variety of infectious diseases, which requires adherence to strict safety protocols and an attentive approach to cleaning procedures.

Employees in this position typically receive an hourly wage between $16.00 and $18.94, depending on experience, plus eligibility for a sign-on bonus based on experience. Baptist Health supports its Environmental Services team through ongoing career development, comprehensive health and wellness resources, tuition reimbursement, and a wellness program designed to reduce healthcare costs. These benefits illustrate the organization's commitment to investing in its workforce and promoting long-term career growth within the company. The Environmental Services Specialist is an integral part of the team, substantially contributing to the health outcomes of patients by ensuring a sanitary and orderly environment that supports high-quality medical care. By joining Baptist Health, candidates become part of a rewarding, purpose-driven organization that values every employee's contribution and fosters a culture of respect and excellence.
