The organization is internationally recognized for its centers of excellence in several medical specialties including cancer treatment, cardiovascular care, orthopedics and sports medicine, and neurosciences. This reputation is supported not only by its advanced medical services but also by a strong philanthropic foundation and a faith-based mission aimed at delivering outstanding healthcare services to all patients.
For over 26 years, Baptist Health has been recognized on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For, highlighting its commitment to employee satisfaction and workplace culture. Additionally, having earned 63 high-performing honors in the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital Rankings, Baptist Health is the most awarded healthcare system in South Florida. This recognition underscores the organization’s dedication to quality, innovation, and patient outcomes.
At Baptist Health, what truly distinguishes the organization is its people. The team is united by a shared mission to create meaningful connections beyond the clinical environment, fostering relationships with patients, their families, and among colleagues themselves. Many team members bring personal experiences as patients, which imbues the workplace culture with compassion and dedication. The culture is deeply rooted in purpose, and every employee is a vital contributor to a positive impact on community health and wellness. Baptist Health embraces a supportive environment where every individual plays a significant role in making a difference through exceptional care.
This role is centered around maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the entire Baptist Health community, including staff, patients, physicians, and visitors. As a Cleaning Specialist, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various areas including public spaces, patient rooms, surgical suites, ancillary areas, administrative offices, and physician spaces. The job entails working in environments where there is exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases, necessitating strict adherence to safety protocols and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control.
This is an hourly, full-time position with an estimated pay range of $16.00 to $17.84 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to competitive pay, Baptist Health offers a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 as an incentive for qualified candidates to join their team. The organization fosters employee growth through a comprehensive array of benefits and professional development programs, including tuition reimbursement, career advancement opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness resources designed to reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenses. At Baptist Health, employees are provided ample support to build fulfilling, long-term careers while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.
