Job Description

This position is part of the Environmental Services department in a healthcare setting, dedicated to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all patients, family members, guests, healthcare team members, and associates. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year related work experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Knowledge of cleaning and customer service skills
  • Detail oriented and able to follow procedures
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 300 lbs
  • Ability to perform physical demands of the role including frequent standing, walking, stooping, and bending

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum one year related work experience preferred
  • Previous experience in environmental services or housekeeping in a medical or hospital setting preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, staff, patients, and visitors
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and customer service skills
  • Detail oriented and able to follow procedures and perform repetitive tasks
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 300 lbs
  • Physical capability to perform frequent standing, walking, stooping and bending

Job Duties

  • Perform environmental cleaning tasks in office areas, exam rooms, public areas, restrooms, ancillary areas, and patient care rooms
  • Utilize specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
  • Adhere to departmental and hospital policies, including patient privacy and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance and communicate clearly with patients, visitors, and staff
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned duties and special projects
  • Follow standard operating procedures and quality expectations to ensure excellence
  • Engage in frequent standing, walking, stooping, and bending as required by the job
