The Environmental Services Department at Children's Minnesota plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment throughout the healthcare facilities. This department is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all hospital areas, managing the collection and disposal of infectious and solid waste, handling equipment moves and set-ups, overseeing recycling programs, and coordinating pest control and environmental maintenance. By upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, the Environmental Services team supports infection prevention efforts and ensures the wellbeing of patients, families, and staff.

The role involves performing daily cleaning and disinfecting tasks in patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and other assigned spaces in accordance with departmental protocols and facility standards. Effective communication skills and the ability to work with diverse populations including patients, families, and healthcare professionals are essential. The posted salary for this role reflects a market competitive range and may vary based on factors such as experience, education, training, credentials, and organizational needs. This full-time position typically requires 40 hours per week, with prorated salaries provided for part-time employment based on weekly hours.
