Aramark is a leading global provider of food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries worldwide. Rooted in a legacy of service and united by a strong purpose, Aramark is committed to improving the experiences of its customers, partners, communities, and the planet at large. The company emphasizes fostering a positive and inclusive work culture, ensuring every employee has equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, disability, or other protected characteristics. Aramark believes that a fulfilling career should not only develop an individual’s talents and fuel their passions but also empower professional growth in diverse environments.
The Environmental Services Worker (EVS Worker) role at Aramark represents a vital part of the team responsible for upholding outstanding cleanliness and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment in client locations. The primary focus of this position is to clean and maintain assigned areas to meet or exceed customer, client, and patient satisfaction standards. This role is especially critical in healthcare settings where sanitation directly impacts patient health and safety. EVS Workers work in compliance with OSHA guidelines as well as state, local, and federal regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and all occupants of the facility.
The position requires performing a variety of cleaning and sanitizing duties including vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed making and stripping, and removing both general and hazardous waste from patient or resident rooms. Additionally, these professionals clean restrooms meticulously by following infection control protocols. EVS Workers are responsible for accurately maintaining housekeeping equipment, ensuring that all tools and materials are clean and in good working order, which supports operational efficiency.
This role necessitates strong communication skills to maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive demeanor with customers, clients, patients, and coworkers, allowing the EVS Worker to adapt to diverse needs effectively. Tasks also include securing the facility by correctly locking and unlocking buildings and safeguarding company assets. EVS Workers are expected to be dependable team members, taking initiative to report maintenance issues via appropriate channels promptly, and performing other duties as assigned by their managers. The position offers full-time shifts, with primary schedules available from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, ideal for individuals seeking structured and consistent work hours.
Aramark supports its employees by encouraging skill development and adaptability to meet changing business needs and customer demands. The EVS Worker position is physically demanding, often involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and uniform policies is mandatory to maintain safety and professionalism in the workplace. Joining Aramark means becoming part of a global community committed to purpose-driven work that impacts lives positively every day, providing career advancement opportunities and a supportive working environment.
