We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Environmental Services (EVS) Worker for a one-year full-time or part-time assignment at Glenbrook Hospital. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The EVS Worker will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet customer, client, and patient satisfaction, adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control. The position includes working the 2nd shift with availability required for rotating weekends and holidays. The hourly pay rate for this position is $17.25 plus additional pay for shifts and weekends where applicable.
As an EVS Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of the community by ensuring clinical and public spaces are sanitary and compliant with OSHA, state, local, federal, and Aramark regulations. Responsibilities encompass cleaning patient and resident rooms including vacuuming, dusting, bed making and stripping, and proper disposal of general and hazardous waste. Restroom sanitation and maintaining housekeeping equipment in good condition are also essential components of this role. You will be responsible for securing the facility, handling trash disposal, reporting maintenance issues, and delivering friendly, efficient customer service. Flexibility is key, as duties may vary depending on client needs and business requirements. The role may have physical demands like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking and standing, and may require the use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Available to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and walk or stand for extended periods
- Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Duties
- Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
- Performs cleaning and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms that may include vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed making and stripping, and removal of general and hazardous waste
- Cleans restrooms following proper infection control procedures
- Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment
- Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
- Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
- Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
- Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, patients, and co-workers
- Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
- Ensures security of company assets
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
