Job Description
AdventHealth is a prominent health care organization committed to delivering compassionate, whole-person care to the communities it serves. Rooted in a mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ, AdventHealth prioritizes not only the physical well-being of its patients but also the mental and spiritual health of every individual involved with the organization. Serving as an employer, AdventHealth fosters an environment of inclusion, respect, and professional growth where employees can thrive and contribute to a purpose-driven team. With locations nationwide, including this opportunity situated in Littleton, Colorado, AdventHealth is recognized for its dedication to high standards of care and employee satisfaction.
This role is a full-time position based at the Littleton facility located at 7700 S Broadway. The position operates during day shifts and offers a competitive pay range from $19.38 to $31.01 per hour. The facility is committed to offering an inclusive work environment that values diversity and equal opportunity. As part of the AdventHealth team, the employee will enjoy comprehensive benefits starting from day one, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, a 403-B retirement plan, and paid parental leave. Additional benefits such as career development resources, entire person well-being programs, mental health support, and even pet benefits emphasize their holistic commitment to employees.
The role focuses primarily on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within patient and public areas of the facility, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment essential for healthcare settings. Responsibilities include the daily cleaning of assignment areas, collecting and disposing of trash, and sanitizing all surfaces to meet strict infection control standards. The employee will demonstrate expertise and thorough knowledge of infection control protocols, isolation procedures, and the proper handling and operation of cleaning equipment. Attention to detail is critical as the individual documents all cleaning activities performed and ensures that supplies such as paper goods and cleaning solutions are well stocked. The role also involves managing soiled linen and providing access coverage to ancillary units, restrooms, and offices within assigned areas.
Suitable candidates will possess organizational skills, effective verbal and interpersonal communication abilities, and customer relations expertise. The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions carefully, along with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, is essential. While not mandatory, having a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with one or more years of experience in a medical office setting and certification as a Nurse Assistant (CNA). This hospital-grade cleaning task demands physical stamina and dedication, which aligns with the organization’s purpose to create a welcoming, healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors alike. AdventHealth’s work setting promotes teamwork and encourages employees to bring their unique experiences and perspectives to better serve their community, uplift others, and contribute to a mission beyond typical workplace goals.
