Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous environmental services or custodial experience
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions
- Some positions may require the ability to lift 50-75 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist

- Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Assigned to clean and disinfect surgical, procedural, and specialized areas such as Sterile Processing
- Cleans and maintains various floor surfaces including carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, vct, stone, tile, slate
- Performs floor care using equipment such as ride-on, walk-behind, and manual operated machines for scrubbing, buffing, and polishing floors
- Apply wax and other floor care products under guidance of EVS Leadership
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures in assigned areas and arranges furniture and equipment as directed
- Dispose of biochemical waste according to policy and procedures
- Cleans floors with vacuums, dust mops, and wet mops
- Collects and removes trash and recyclable items and deposits to designated area
- Maintains security and confidentiality by locking and unlocking doors and performing related functions
