We are currently seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician to join the GH Environmental Services department at UCHealth Greeley Hospital. Located onsite in Greeley, Colorado, this role is integral in creating and maintaining a sanitary, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position operates on a day shift schedule, working 80 hours per pay period, typically over two weeks.

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for cleaning patient rooms and various hospital areas daily, focusing on infection control and patient comfort. Duties include trash removal, linen changes, surface sanitization, and restocking supplies to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. This is an onsite role requiring a hands-on approach with no hybrid or remote work options.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, applying critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Attention to detail, adherence to policy especially on patient isolation, and the ability to maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality are essential. While no prior experience or education is required, a strong work ethic and willingness to contribute positively to the healthcare environment are necessary.

Pay for this role ranges from $18.54 to $24.10 per hour, depending on relevant experience. Job Duties

  • Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily including collecting and removing trash changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces
  • Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation
  • Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
  • Maintains cart and equipment in clean working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift
  • Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
