Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in cleaning or janitorial field
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safety procedures
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment properly
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull and reach consistently
  • Good visual acuity and color vision occasionally
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of all cleaning equipment and skills needed to perform assigned tasks
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to follow proper cleaning procedures especially in high-risk or isolation areas
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Uses time well by promptly reporting to assigned areas and adhering to scheduled breaks
  • Uses proper procedures when cleaning isolation rooms with appropriate protective equipment
  • Cleans floors, sinks, commodes, showers, tubs, furniture including fabric and upholstered, surfaces, windows, mirrors, walls, tile, and specialized equipment in nurseries or labor and delivery
  • Cleans and replenishes all dispensers with soap and paper products and maintains housekeeping closets and equipment
  • Removes and properly disposes of all waste including regular, recyclable, and infectious waste
  • Leaves work area and equipment clean and organized
  • Notifies supervisor when assignments are completed
