This part-time role involves performing routine cleaning duties throughout the surgical units, ensuring all patient rooms, nursing units, offices, waiting areas, lounges, restrooms, and corridors meet stringent hygiene standards. The EVS Technician works under the supervision of the Operating Room Manager and is responsible for maintaining an environment that supports infection control protocols and professional standards. This position not only requires physical stamina due to frequent standing, walking, and lifting but also demands attention to detail and adherence to safety and confidentiality guidelines. The technician will encounter exposure to germicidal agents and anesthesia gases, which necessitates strict compliance with safety measures.\n\nBeyond cleaning duties, the EVS Technician plays a significant role in emergency preparedness by participating in fire, emergency, and disaster drills. They also engage in ongoing professional development activities and adhere to all established OSC policies and procedures, including attending required in-services and educational programs. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One-year experience in a hospital or medical office preferred
- Ability to perform tasks such as speaking writing and spelling at a high school level
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work part-time
- Ability to handle exposure to germicidal agents and anesthesia gases
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to follow safety protocols
- Must maintain patient confidentiality

Job Duties
