Intermountain Health is renowned for its dedication to quality care, innovation, and community wellness. As a part of this esteemed institution, employees contribute to a culture that prioritizes health, safety, and continuous improvement. The hospital environment is regulated by stringent standards, including those from The Joint Commission—a body that accredits and certifies health care organizations and programs in the United States. The commitment to high cleanliness and safety standards is critical in offering superior patient outcomes and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The pay rate ranges from $17.68 to $22.99 per hour, with the exact pay dependent on the candidate's experience.

The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting assigned areas, using chemicals properly in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Joint Commission requirements. This includes handling infectious waste disposal, emergency spill cleanup, and practicing all infection prevention measures, such as proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Understanding and following department-specific cleaning procedures are crucial for maintaining the high standards of hygiene and safety expected in a hospital setting.

The position demands someone who is proficient in identifying and reading color-coded labels on cleaning chemicals, understanding safety protocols, and able to communicate effectively within the team setting. The Housekeeper must maintain their work and storage areas in accordance with established safety policies to ensure compliance and a safe working environment. Physical demands include lifting, bending, and maneuvering equipment and supplies of varying weights, as well as manual dexterity tasks such as computer and phone setups. This role plays a vital part in creating a clean and safe atmosphere for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, ultimately supporting the hospital’s mission of quality care and safety.

Intermountain Health also highlights its commitment to the well-being of its caregivers by providing a generous benefits package that supports mind, body, and spirit wellness. Joining this team means being part of a culture that values living healthy, happiness, security, connectivity, and engagement. In addition, the employer emphasizes equal opportunity employment and a recruitment process enhanced by AI technologies to ensure fairness and alignment with job seekers' capabilities and experiences.
