The Team Lead position within the EVS department is an integral leadership role where you will oversee cleanliness and orderliness of assigned facility areas, ensuring they meet the highest hygiene standards. This role provides not only daily supervision but also training and development for new caregivers, emphasizing teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety policies.
Working as an EVS Team Lead at Cleveland Clinic involves a second shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm, with full weekend rotations every other week. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum one year of experience in an environmental services or housekeeping role with strong customer service skills
- demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasks
- ability to perform duties while standing or walking for majority of day
- ability to push and pull equipment such as beds, trash trucks, and floor buffers and scrubbers
- ability to stoop, stretch, and lift while performing duties
- medium work exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum one year of experience in an environmental services or housekeeping role with strong customer service skills
- demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasks
Job Duties
- conduct general training for new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning and special procedures
- clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces
- follow policies and procedures on patient isolation
- stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
- maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift
