Aramark Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Manager to join their team at a hospital in Manchester, NH. This position is a vital role responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and environmental safety within the healthcare facility. The Manager will oversee the second shift operations of the Environmental Services (EVS) department, ensuring patient room cleaning, floor care, waste management, and overall sanitation meet rigorous health and safety standards. The role demands leadership in managing staffing schedules, distributing supplies, conducting quality audits, engaging with patients and staff to promote service recovery, and upholding client expectations.

The Environmental Services Manager plays a critical role in supporting hospital operations by creating a safe, clean environment conducive to patient care and recovery. They lead and develop their team through training, performance monitoring, and effective communication, striving to improve both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Up to 2-5 years supervisory experience or 1+ years management experience
  • Floor care experience including knowledge of equipment and chemicals
  • Ability to manage janitorial, custodial or housekeeping operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Job Qualifications

  • Healthcare environmental services management experience preferred
  • Requires up to 2-5 years in a supervisory role or 1+ years in a management role
  • Floor care experience required including knowledge of the equipment and chemicals used
  • Experience managing janitorial, custodial or housekeeping operations will be considered
  • Model key leadership behaviors and ensure the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients and consumers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work under strict deadlines are essential

Job Duties

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department
  • Oversees linen distribution
  • Distributes supplies, holds shift huddles, scheduling and training
  • Monitors performance
  • Manages floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste removal, overall cleanliness of the building, and patient room cleaning
  • Conducts rounding with patients, service recovery, quality audits and inspections
  • Communicates and builds relationships with other department leaders
  • Plans, controls and directs all cleaning, sanitizing and waste removal functions within a healthcare facility to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives and customer needs
