The Environmental Services (EVS) Worker role at Aramark is a vital position dedicated to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments by performing thorough cleaning and sanitization tasks. This Temp to Hire position involves responsibilities such as cleaning patient or resident rooms, including vacuuming, dusting, bed making, stripping, and managing waste according to stringent infection control and safety standards. The EVS Worker ensures all assigned areas meet both client and Aramark standards, contributing directly to customer, client, and patient satisfaction. Adhering to safety protocols aligned with OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations, and looking after equipment maintenance and storage procedures are crucial parts of the role. Additionally, this position requires the ability to secure facilities and uphold asset security, while maintaining friendly, efficient interactions with customers and colleagues. The job includes physical demands like lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods and may involve the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous custodial experience preferred
Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions
Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and walk or stand for extended periods
Ability to wear uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Qualifications

Previous custodial experience preferred
Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions

Job Duties

Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
Performs cleaning and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms including vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed making and stripping, and removal of general and hazardous waste
Cleans restrooms following proper infection control procedures
Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment
Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, patients, and co-workers
Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
Ensures security of company assets
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
