The Environmental Services Worker (EVS Worker) position at Aramark is a critical role that ensures the cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of various assigned areas, which may include healthcare facilities, offices, or other client locations. The EVS Worker plays an essential part in maintaining a positive environment that supports customer, client, and patient satisfaction. In this position, the EVS Worker performs a variety of cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, bed making, stripping, waste removal, and restrooms cleaning following proper infection-control procedures. The role also involves maintaining housekeeping equipment, managing trash disposal, securing facilities by locking and unlocking buildings, and reporting maintenance issues promptly. Job Requirements
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
- Willingness to wear uniforms and/or use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to follow established procedures for safety and infection control
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cleaning or custodial experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Duties
- Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
- Performs cleaning and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms that may include vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed making and stripping, and removal of general and hazardous waste
- Cleans restrooms following proper infection control procedures
- Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment
- Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
- Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
- Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
- Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, patients, and co-workers, is adaptable to customer needs
- Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
- Ensures security of company assets
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
