This specific role is for an Environmental Services (EVS) Worker at Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder, Colorado, offered on a part-time basis with hours ranging from 16 to 29 per week. The position offers various shift opportunities requiring flexibility for both weekday and weekend availability. The shifts include 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. The hourly compensation ranges from $19.46 to $21.25, reflecting Aramark's commitment to fair and competitive pay.

As an EVS Worker, the individual will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet the expectations of customers, clients, and patients. The role focuses on creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment within the hospital setting. This requires adherence to established safety protocols, including alignment with OSHA and relevant federal, state, and local regulations. The role involves performing detailed cleaning and sanitizing tasks, such as vacuuming, dusting, bed making and stripping, waste removal, and restroom sanitation following strict infection control procedures.

Other important responsibilities include maintaining and cleaning housekeeping equipment, proper handling and disposal of waste, reporting maintenance issues, and securing the facility as needed. The EVS Worker must also maintain a positive, professional demeanor toward clients, colleagues, and patients, adapting swiftly to customer needs. The role encompasses various duties and tasks assigned by management, emphasizing the necessity of flexibility and a proactive attitude.

Job Requirements

  • Physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
  • Availability to work weekday and weekend shifts
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to follow safety protocols
  • Reliable and punctual
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Previous custodial experience preferred
  • Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions

Job Duties

  • Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
  • Performs cleaning and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms that may include vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed making and stripping, and removal of general and hazardous waste
  • Cleans restrooms following proper infection control procedures
  • Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment
  • Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
  • Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
  • Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
  • Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, patients, and co-workers
  • Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
  • Ensures security of company assets
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
