The role of an EVS (Environmental Services) Worker at Aramark involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet the satisfaction of customers, clients, and patients. The position is essential within healthcare facilities, hospitality, or similar environments where hygiene and cleanliness are critical. The EVS Worker adheres strictly to established procedures to ensure a safe working environment following OSHA and other relevant regulations. Daily duties include cleaning and sanitizing patient or resident rooms, such as vacuuming, dusting, bed making and stripping, and the proper disposal of general and hazardous waste. Maintaining clean restrooms with appropriate infection control measures is also a key responsibility.

Further responsibilities include maintaining and cleaning housekeeping equipment accurately, following procedures for storage and disposal of trash, and transporting it to designated areas. The EVS Worker reports any maintenance concerns via work orders to appropriate personnel ensuring that the facility remains in optimal condition. This role requires maintaining a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service demeanor while being adaptable to the needs of customers, clients, patients, and co-workers. Security duties include ensuring the facility is locked or unlocked as necessary and safeguarding company assets.

The EVS Worker position might have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing, and sometimes requires the use of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
