Job Requirements
- u.s. citizenship
- suitability for federal employment confirmed by background investigation
- pass urinalysis drug screening prior to appointment
- selective service registration for eligible males
- complete online onboarding process including providing acceptable identification
- serve a one-year probationary period
- complete all application requirements by closing date
- comply with vaccination and safety protocols as required by the department

- demonstrate knowledge, skills, and ability to perform duties with evidence of training or experience

- experience includes paid and unpaid work, including volunteer service
- ability to perform physical tasks required in custodial work
Job Duties
- perform a full range of light and heavy cleaning duties and routine housekeeping duties
- clean wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms, and other areas
- sweep, mop, scrub floors using machines, vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture
- empty waste baskets
- clean light globes and Venetian blinds
- wash walls, windows, and ceilings by climbing small ladders
- refill toilet tissue and towel dispensers
- move furniture
- carry out assignments with minimal supervision
