The role of Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 1 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE is a critical leadership position within Sodexo's healthcare operations. This role focuses on directing housekeeping and environmental services in a healthcare setting, ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and patient satisfaction are met. The manager will be responsible for overseeing all custodial operations, driving client and patient satisfaction scores, and ensuring compliance with infectious control protocols in partnership with hospital departments such as the Infectious Control department and the Environment of Care Committee.

This involves managing the Unit Operating System effectively, supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce, and driving full compliance with local, state, and federal standards, including Joint Commission requirements and HCAHPS standards. Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 3 years of management experience
- minimum 3 years of work experience in housekeeping, environmental or custodial services
- ability to lead and manage a team
- experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in healthcare
- strong leadership skills and independent work capability
- experience in data analysis, presentation and communication
- knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures
- familiarity with compliance standards including HCAHPS and Joint Commission
