Renown Regional Medical Center, located in Reno, Nevada, is the flagship hospital of Renown Health and a nationally recognized, non-profit healthcare facility. It boasts nearly 900 licensed beds and serves as the region's only Level II Trauma Center. This position as a 2nd Shift Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 1 at Renown Regional Medical Center offers a unique opportunity for experienced leaders to make a tangible impact on healthcare operations. The selected candidate will oversee frontline environmental services teams during the second shift, ensuring all cleaning and custodial protocols meet stringent safety and hygiene standards. This role requires managing daily operations that support the hospital's infection control goals, collaborating closely with the Infectious Control department, and participating actively in hospital committees focused on environment of care and infection prevention.
The ideal candidate will have significant leadership experience within a hospital environmental services setting, possessing both the technical expertise and managerial acumen to drive operational excellence. They will be accountable for maintaining high patient satisfaction scores, safety compliance, and adherence to Joint Commission standards. Leading a diverse and inclusive team, this role emphasizes communication, data analysis, and continuous improvement to optimize housekeeping systems and processes.

Job Requirements
- associate's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years previous custodial or housekeeping management experience in a hospital
- ability to work 2nd shift Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- associate's degree or equivalent experience
- leadership experience managing frontline teams in a hospital environmental services setting
- experience driving customer service or guest satisfaction in healthcare
- ability to analyze data and communicate effectively across organizational levels
- knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures
- experience with vendor and contract management
- experience in union and contract negotiations
- experience improving patient satisfaction and compliance with HCAHPS and Joint Commission standards
- proficiency with computers and technology
