The Environmental Services (EVS) Manager 1 position at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee, OK, offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to oversee second-shift environmental services operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, directly impacting patient care and satisfaction. The EVS Manager will lead teams responsible for supporting patient discharges, servicing ancillary departments, and managing cleaning operations across eight off-site clinics. This position demands operational excellence, effective team leadership, and strict adherence to regulatory compliance within a complex healthcare environment.

In this role, the EVS Manager will be instrumental in driving client and patient satisfaction scores by ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Collaborating closely with the Infectious Control department, the manager will implement and monitor cleaning protocols that align with health and safety regulations. Leadership responsibilities include managing departmental projects and initiatives, administering the Unit Operating System, and fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce. The ideal candidate will bring flexibility, a customer-focused approach, and experience in environmental services or housekeeping within healthcare or similar settings.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • experience leading, training and supervising a team
  • customer service or guest satisfaction experience in healthcare or hospitality
  • strong leadership skills and ability to work independently
  • experience managing projects within timelines
  • proficiency with computers and technology
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to work Monday - Friday, second-shift, with weekend and holiday rotation
  • ability to speak Spanish is helpful but not required
