Currently, Sodexo is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Environmental Services - Custodial Manager for the overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM at the University at Buffalo in New York. This role demands a leader with executive presence capable of managing client relationships effectively while leading a diverse and dynamic team of over 15 unionized custodial employees. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, professional compassion, and cultural sensitivity to engage with employees from varied backgrounds. The managerial position requires expert-level computer skills, including proficiency with software such as Shop Blue, Maximo, iCIMS, and KRONOS. A proven track record of frontline interviewing, employee training, and retention is essential to driving success in this role. As the overnight Custodial Manager, you will oversee all operations during the night shift, ensuring that the campus remains clean, safe, and welcoming. Your responsibilities will include managing waste removal, operating various custodial equipment like wet-dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, auto scrubbers, and electric carts, and ensuring compliance with safety standards throughout the campus.

In addition to operational oversight, you will be expected to foster a positive and productive team environment, providing coaching, mentoring, and leadership to your staff. Collaboration with customers to maintain satisfaction in housekeeping services and event logistics is also crucial.
