At Loomis Lakeside in Reeds Landing, Springfield, MA, Sodexo is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services - Custodial Manager to lead and oversee custodial operations at this prestigious senior living community. The facility includes 120 Independent Living apartments, 42 skilled nursing beds, and 30 Assisted Living apartments, catering to the nuanced needs of senior residents. In this pivotal role, the Custodial Manager will supervise a team of approximately 18 employees, including floor technicians and cleaners, ensuring that all custodial, cleaning, and laundry services meet the highest standards. This position requires a hands-on leader capable of managing daily operations efficiently while fostering a motivated and well-trained team.

This role demands a focus on operational excellence and resident satisfaction, with responsibilities spanning the oversight of facility cleanliness, laundry support, staff scheduling, training, supply ordering, and duty assignments. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of custodial services, with a particular emphasis on floor care, preferably gained in healthcare or senior living environments. Experience in driving compliance with local, state, and federal standards is essential to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff alike. The position offers a Monday-to-Friday work schedule with some flexibility, aligning with operational demands and supporting work-life balance.
